Women’s Pavilion x Cartier at Expo 2020 | Branding
The exhibition that was held at the Women’s Pavilion in collaboration with Cartier was titled “The Seen and The Unseen”, which highlights the hidden, unseen women who changed and had an impact on the world. The play of contrast between the concept of the ‘seen and unseen’ is a key inspiration for the brand identity that explores the high contrast between femininity and impact. This is visually represented through the juxtaposition of the soft, blurred elements along with the strong, bold graphical elements. The high contrast characteristic is also reflected in the play of the hidden vs the visible elements in the logo mark, which is also a representation of censorship of women’s impact to the public eye that this exhibition aims to reveal to the world.
